Our Program


HCYP Raiders baseball, the premier travel baseball program of central Maryland, offers travel programs for ages 8U through 19U.
 
In the 15 through 19 age groups the program recognizes the need to best serve its membership by allowing for the possibility of high school aged players to "play up" in the HCYP Raiders Travel Baseball Program. This is akin to that which often happens when both freshmen and sophomores compete against each other or play together on Junior Varsity high school baseball teams and/or when freshmen, sophomores, juniors and/or seniors compete against each other or play together on Varsity high school baseball teams. In keeping with this philosophy, the HCYP Raiders Baseball Program conducts combined initial tryouts for all teams from age 15 through 19. Those players capable of and interested in the prospect of "playing up" one or more age level, if the opportunity presents itself, will be given consideration for and be allowed to compete for roster spots on these older age group teams. Any player not interested in this option will not be approached by a manager or coach to reconsider and should subsequently attend tryouts for the team or teams in their respective age group(s).  Players should also recognize the competitive nature of these 15 - 19 tryouts. Only 16U through 19U teams may have rosters with players who are "playing up" in age.

The HCYP Raiders are sponsored by the Howard County Youth Program, an organization dedicated to youth sports in Howard County, Maryland that offers recreational and travel baseball, softball and basketball programs.
